Collection: Blue Street Collection

This Blue Street has seen it all!
It owes its name to Louis-Philippe, Duke of Orléans, who could have made his own the famous line from M. Jourdain in Le Bourgeois gentilhomme: "Beautiful marquise, your beautiful eyes make me die of love". Indeed, it was for the beautiful blue eyes of his mistress the Countess of Buffon, who lived at No. 11 rue d'Enfer, that he had the name of his street changed to rue Bleue in 1789, shortly before the Revolution.
